As I was about to visit my brother living in Togo, I decided to create a poster for the locality. He suggested an informational poster on the proper uses of water would be very useful. He came up with eight points, such as boiling water to disinfect it, washing hands before preparing food, and not drinking water from rivers. We agreed a very simple headline (English: Clean water = Good health) would work best. Icons were created to communicate each point, intended to also reach people who could not read French. The screenprinted posters were given to schools, the hospital, the aids clinic, the water department, and the traditional healer.
