The brief asked to communicate the spirit of the city. Considering all that has taken place here in recent decades, it became clear that metamorphosis is an intrinsic part of this city and that history can be found just below the surface.
Each letter refers to a period in Berlin's recent history and all together, the over- lapping, deterioration and regeneration manifest the energy of the city today. The composition refers to ripped posters, very common on the streets here.
