This screenprinted poster was designed to announce the re-opening of the municipal library in the town of Bafilo, Togo. The text means "See further with a book", suggesting that reading can enable one to think in new and different ways. The face has a small scar on each cheek, typical of people in the region, hopefully prompting the viewer to recognize themselves in the image.
